Animal licensing return reminder
A reminder that councils must complete the Government’s Licensing of Activities Involving Animals data return survey by 31st May.
All local authorities must report the following information to the Secretary of State:
- the number of licences in force for each licensable activity in its area on 1 April each year
- the average level of fees it has charged for licences it has granted or renewed in each reporting period
Report 2024 to 2025 animal activity licences and fees by 31 May 2025.
The current reporting period is 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025.
Defra may also contact you each year to request other information. It is not a requirement of the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (England) Regulations 2018 to provide this information.
