Why the IoL is backing “The Partnership Effect”

The Institute of Licensing (IoL) is proud to support The Partnership Effect: Supporting Safer Communities Through Collaboration and Local Action, taking place in Glasgow on 6 October. Bringing together licensing professionals, local authorities, police, government, industry and community partners, the event will explore how collaboration can help create safer, stronger and more vibrant communities.

Partnership working sits at the heart of everything the IoL does. From sharing best practice and professional development to promoting effective engagement between regulators, businesses and communities, the Institute has long championed the view that better outcomes are achieved when organisations work together.

A particular highlight of the event will be a keynote session on Alcohol Licensing in Scotland: Position and Key Government Priorities from Kirsten Oswald MSP, Minister for Victims & Community Safety, offering delegates valuable insight into the Scottish Government’s current priorities and direction of travel.

With speakers representing government, policing, licensing, community safety and leading partnership schemes, the event offers a valuable opportunity to hear practical examples of partnership working in action.
