NTIA publish industry security note

The Night Time Industries Association (NTIA) has published a resource note from various organisations, including the IoL, to support enhanced security efforts in the hospitality sector.

Writing on the NTIA’s website, the organisation said:

“The hospitality sector prioritises customer safety and welfare, addressing issues like drink spiking with serious measures including staff training, CCTV, and safeguarding practices. Drink spiking involves adding substances to drinks without consent, a criminal offense. Venues are advised to activate safeguarding procedures, ensure customer safety, and report incidents. Resources from various organisations support these efforts, emphasising the importance of creating a secure environment for all.”
