Man charged with illegal gambling
A man has been charged with providing facilities for gambling and advertising unlicensed gambling.
Haydon Simcock, 39, of Weston Coyney, Stoke On Trent, is charged with providing facilities for gambling to consumers in Great Britain without holding an operating licence between 18 October 2023 to 11 September 2024, and advertising those facilities between 26 May 2023 and 1 March 2024.
Simcock, who was arrested in September 2024 as part of an investigation led by the Gambling Commission and supported by Staffordshire Police, will appear at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court on Monday 24 March at 10am.
The Gambling Commission said it will not be commenting further at this time.
