London’s summer music season generated record attendance and significant economic impact
London’s stadiums, arenas and parks recorded their busiest summer on record, with millions of attendees and multiple venue milestones. Major artists including Harry Styles, Ariana Grande, Jay‑Z, Bad Bunny and BTS performed extended runs across Wembley Stadium, The O2 and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, contributing to substantial visitor numbers and increased spending in the capital.
Wembley Stadium reported its largest concert season to date, hosting 34 shows and more than 2.5 million attendees, including Harry Styles’ 12‑night residency and major performances by The Weeknd and Luke Combs. The O2 recorded its busiest August, delivering 16 sell‑out shows and a 10‑night run from Ariana Grande. Tottenham Hotspur Stadium welcomed over 500,000 attendees, with BTS setting a new venue attendance record.
Across London, additional events at London Stadium, Hyde Park, Brockwell Park, Alexandra Palace and Burgess Park added to the overall audience totals. Grassroots venues also reported increased attendance, with UK Music noting a 2.3% rise in UK audience numbers compared with 2025.
London’s music sector attracted 9.1 million visitors in 2025, generating £3.4 billion in revenue — a 27% increase on the previous year. Forecasts suggested that Harry Styles’ Wembley residency alone could contribute £1.1 billion in associated spending.
City Hall highlighted the wider economic benefits for hospitality, tourism and transport, alongside ongoing initiatives to support the night‑time economy, including nearly £500,000 in funding for outdoor dining and extended opening hours. The Mayor also referenced new strategic licensing powers intended to strengthen London’s cultural infrastructure.
Industry representatives from UK Music, AEG, Wembley Stadium, Live Nation and UKHospitality reported strong demand, increased international attendance and continued growth in London’s position as a global centre for live music.
