PERMANENT: 37 hours per week
SALARY: £32,798 to £35,336
We are seeking to appoint a Lead Officer with relevant qualifications and experience in a range of licensing functions. The role will deliver statutory Licensing functions on behalf of the Council through the inspection, investigation and resolution of issues that are the responsibility of the Public Health and Housing Options Service.
Committed to putting our customers first and providing high quality services, we are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated team player who is prepared to face a variety of challenges and wants to make a difference by improving the health & wellbeing of the community.
You will need to have detailed knowledge and a relevant qualification in licensing legislation as well as experience in undertaking enforcement activity and preparing cases for court. You will have experience of preparing reports and undertaking hearings and attending committee meetings as required.
You will also have the opportunity to help improve the service by bringing forward your ideas and innovation. In the Lead role you will use your knowledge and expertise to guide the rest of team in delivering sound licensing decisions.
You will have the opportunity to develop professionally and gain experience in a wide range of duties. Training will also be provided where necessary to ensure you maintain your competency and help you develop your professional role.
The post requires an experience/qualified Licensing Practitioner with good communication skills together with the associated enthusiasm and commitment to fulfil the requirements of the post applied for.
