About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed person to join our Licensing Team who have responsibility for the licensing and regulation of hackney carriages and private hire vehicles, drivers and operators, street trading and charitable collections in line with the Licensing Act 2003 & Gambling Act 2005.

In this interesting and varied role, you will assess and determine license applications in an efficient and timely manner in accordance with legislation and the council’s policies.  You will also provide advice to clients and the community on licensing matters, process applications and monitor and check compliance, as well as conducting investigations into complaints and undertaking enforcement work to regulate licensable activities.
