Job Title: Licensing Co-Ordinator

Reporting to: Licensing Manager

Department: Compliance

The Department:

The Compliance department is responsible for identifying the risks that we face and provide advice on them. We design and implement controls to protect the business from those risks and monitor and report on the effectiveness of the controls in the management of our exposure to risks. We resolve compliance difficulties as they occur and advise the business on licensing regulations, rules and controls where necessary.

Purpose of the role:

The Licensing Co-Ordinator will form part of the Licensing team, working closely with the Regulatory Compliance team, in-house Legal and external stakeholders to provide advice and assistance in the planning and execution of all aspects of licensing and compliance related activities on both a maintenance and project basis. The overall focus of the position is to support the Licensing Manager in protecting the business from regulatory risks, delivering new business through successful licence applications and ensuring the maintenance of existing licences.

To achieve this, the Licensing Co-Ordinator will, as a recognised subject matter expert, be responsible for building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring information sourced is accurate and validated, and licence applications are delivered within the agreed timeline. In addition to liaising with Regulatory Compliance, internal and external stakeholders and in-house Legal, you will be supporting the wider operational needs of the Compliance Department by implementing tactical solutions wherever necessary.

You will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with quality and timely execution of new and renewal licence applications.
  • Gathering and reviewing documentation required for licence applications.
  • Assisting in licence application reviews and associated reporting.
  • Developing strong internal and external relationships through stakeholder engagement.
  • Helping to drive the development and enhancement of existing systems, both internal and external, to increase the efficiency of the Licensing team.
  • Ensuring engagement and alignment within other areas of the Compliance department.
  • Assisting with the successful implementation of new/revised processes and/or procedures.
  • Maintaining a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Raising purchase orders and keeping accurate records of department expenditure.

It would be a bonus if you also had (Desirable skills):

  • Experience of working in a similar industry.
  • Good understanding of project and programme methodologies.
  • Knowledge of wider regulatory requirements such as gambling regulations and AML regulations.
  • Ability to speak/read another language (e.g. Dutch, Spanish, German, Italian).
