Thirty years of NTC, and one free place up for grabs

Three day delegate place, including accommodation. Enter by Friday 25 September.

Three decades ago, a handful of licensing officers formed the Local Government Licensing Forum, the body that would go on to become the Institute of Licensing. This November, that anniversary is marked at NTC2026 in Stratford upon Avon, and to celebrate it, IoL is giving away a full three day place at the conference, accommodation included, to one lucky entrant.

NTC has grown from those early beginnings into the UK’s leading conference for licensing professionals, drawing together officers, trade representatives, licensing lawyers and partner organisations for three days of debate, learning and, this year in particular, a fair bit of celebration. The 30th conference brings a packed programme covering the issues shaping licensing practice, alongside a Gala Dinner to mark the milestone.

Getting into the spirit of thirty years, IoL wanted to give something back, so one full delegate place, including accommodation, is being offered entirely free of charge. Anyone can enter, whether you have never been to NTC before or you are a familiar face in the audience every year.

Entering takes a couple of minutes. Add your name, email and organisation, tick to confirm you have read the rules, and that is it, you are in the draw. There is a limit of one entry per person, so no need to submit more than once. Entries close on Friday 25 September 2026, with the draw made that same day and the winner notified by email. The ticket cannot be put towards another event, but if the timing does not work out for the winner personally, it can be passed to a colleague within the same organisation, so the place will not go to waste.

The winner may also be invited to share a short testimonial about their experience, which IoL may feature on social media, in its news channels and on its website.

Full rules of entry are available to read before entering.
