The Licensing section within Public Protection are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to lead a team of 5 colleagues, supported by the Environmental Health Commercial & Licensing Manager. Following a service redesign, this senior role would suit someone already experienced and proven in a supervisory role, or equally a high performing officer who wishes to take that next step in their career. We are looking for someone who is keen to get involved in the day-to-day work, operating with a good level of independence, but also someone who can help develop the team to be the best they can be.

The team is responsible for the customary licensing functions you would expect, but has much ambition to think outside the box, not just completing administrative duties but making a real positive difference in protecting the public, balanced with supporting economic growth.
