We are looking for an enthusiastic person to joint our specialist team to assist
with the day-to-day work of the Licensing Team at Wiltshire Council for the next
The role will be predominately to enforce the new Covid regulations ensuring a
balanced and consistent approach to enforcement countywide.
About the role
This will involve having responsibility for various aspects of licensing and duties
will include dealing with the initial applications, the preparation of licenses and
permissions, provision of advice and guidance, report writing and the inspection
of licensed premises.
We will look to you to have previous experience of the local authority licensing
functions, or an enforcement role particularly in regard to the Licensing Act
2003, Gambling Act 2005 and Animal Licensing.
You will have the ability to prioritise, plan and manage their time effectively,
demonstrating the ability to meet demanding deadlines.
You will also demonstrate excellent communication skills both written and orally
to a range of audiences including the public.
An understanding of enforcement in a public setting would be advantageous.
The suitable candidate will need to be able to demonstrate that are able to work
in a challenging and ever changing environment.
