South Derbyshire District Council is expanding their Licensing Team and seeking to recruit an experienced, committed and enthusiastic individual for the position of Licensing Officer (Enforcement). The postholder will form an integral part of a small and committed licensing team.

Trafford’s Licensing Enforcement Team have a new vacancy for a Team Leader to join the Department and lead a team of Licensing Enforcement Officers. The primary role of the Licensing Enforcement Team is to carry out a range of regulatory and enforcement functions in the areas of licensing and registration, including taxi and private hire vehicles, alcohol and entertainment, gambling, street trading, charitable collections and scrap metal dealers.

The Technical Licensing Officer will deal with requests from customers for advice regarding law and procedure on Licensing matters. They will receive and process Licensing applications, which includes dealing with criminal record checks, right to work checks, sensitive medical checks and liaison with the Police and Children’s Services as well as other statutory bodies. The role deals with consultation with public and statutory bodies and elected members.
