dealing with the venue.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Pasha Shawarma has been approached for comment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ssrcss-uf6wea-RichTextComponentWrapper ep2nwvo0\" data-component=\"text-block\">\n<div class=\"ssrcss-7uxr49-RichTextContainer e5tfeyi1\">\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Police asked for the review under the &#8220;prevention of crime and disorder&#8221; and &#8220;protection of children from harm&#8221;, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\"><a href=\"https:\/\/northnorthants.moderngov.co.uk\/documents\/s24352\/Appendix%201%20-%20Northamptonshrie%20Police%20Application%20for%20Review.pdf\" class=\"ssrcss-f6h2dj-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\">The report said<span class=\"visually-hidden ssrcss-1f39n02-VisuallyHidden e16en2lz0\">,<\/span><\/a> it &#8220;relates to an investigation regarding two allegations of rape on two females one aged 16 and one aged 17 and subsequent difficulties experienced by Northamptonshire Police when engaging with the premises&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">A police statement said that the offences did not occur at the premises, but that the two teenage girls and the alleged suspects were inside Pasha Shawarma and left the venue together in the early hours of 25 February.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ssrcss-uf6wea-RichTextComponentWrapper ep2nwvo0\" data-component=\"text-block\">\n<div class=\"ssrcss-7uxr49-RichTextContainer e5tfeyi1\">\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Despite repeated requests, the venue did not pass on CCTV footage, which was against the conditions of the licence.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The venue was required to close at 23:30 on the date the allegations took place, but nearby CCTV pictures showed the two females arriving and entering at midnight and then leaving at 03:18.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The force asked for the venue&#8217;s licence to be revoked but on 18 June the licence holder notified the council that they wished to surrender their licence with immediate effect, which was accepted.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">A meeting of the council&#8217;s licencing committee heard the venue has now been closed since the police submitted the review application at the beginning of May.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A restaurant and bar has surrendered its licence after allegations a 16 and a 17-year-old girl who drank at the venue were later raped.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_et_pb_use_builder":"","_et_pb_old_content":"","_et_gb_content_width":"","_lmt_disableupdate":"","_lmt_disable":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-9126","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-uncategorized"],"modified_by":null,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/instituteoflicensing.org\/news_archive\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/9126","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/instituteoflicensing.org\/news_archive\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/instituteoflicensing.org\/news_archive\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/instituteoflicensing.org\/news_archive\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/instituteoflicensing.org\/news_archive\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=9126"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/instituteoflicensing.org\/news_archive\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/9126\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/instituteoflicensing.org\/news_archive\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=9126"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/instituteoflicensing.org\/news_archive\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=9126"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/instituteoflicensing.org\/news_archive\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=9126"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
