The Government has published two white papers on regulation:<\/p>\n

Smarter Regulation: One Year On \u2013 May 2024<\/a> sets out the smart regulation initiative actions to date and proposals for the future. It includes 25 new policy announcements that the Government hopes will reduce burdens on business. These include proposals to alter the rules on gaming machines<\/a> and the pavement licensing consultation<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The second white paper is a consultation entitled ‘delivering a regulatory environment for innovation, investment and growth’<\/a>, which aims to deliver a paradigm shift in the UK regulatory landscape. Proposals in the White Paper include defining a business regulator, launching a new Regulators Council and a new growth duty performance framework.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
