Calling for Mohamed to have his licence suspended, Police <a href=\"https:\/\/www.glasgowtimes.co.uk\/news\/scottish-news\/\" class=\"section-link\">Scotland<\/a> said he was not a \u201dfit and proper person\u201d to hold one.<\/p>\n<div id=\"po-inline-articlegate-partialarticle\">\n<div id=\"subscription-content\">\n<p>Police inspector Gareth Griffiths said there are \u201cserious concerns over public safety\u201d and asked Glasgow city\u2019s licensing board to immediately suspend Mohamed\u2019s licence.  <\/p>\n<p>Board chair councillor Alex Wilson, SNP, said:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>\u201cThis is appalling. We don\u2019t expect this type of behaviour from private car hire drivers.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Mohamed was found guilty of assaulting the woman in court last year and ordered to carry out 240 hours of unpaid work.<\/p>\n<p>The board suspended his licence immediately this morning during its meeting in the city.
