{"id":8928,"date":"2024-01-09T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-01-09T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/instituteoflicensing.org\/news_archive\/2024\/01\/09\/mps-back-card-payments-on-gaming-machines\/"},"modified":"2024-01-09T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2024-01-09T00:00:00","slug":"mps-back-card-payments-on-gaming-machines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/instituteoflicensing.org\/news_archive\/mps-back-card-payments-on-gaming-machines\/","title":{"rendered":"MPs back card payments on gaming machines"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Culture, Media and Sport Committee has backed UKHospitality\u2019s call for card payments to be permitted for use on gaming machines.<\/p>\n<p>The committee said it supports the introduction of cashless payments but also highlighted that customers who prefer to pay by cash should be able to do so.<\/p>\n<p>In the Autumn, the Government consulted on whether to allow cashless payments on gaming machines, which UKHospitality supported.
