Extension to contingency face covering distribution programme for both passengers and worker Published Date: 21/08/2021

The DfT have advised that a contingency face covering distribution programme has been extended in line with the recommendation and expectation that face coverings are worn in crowded settings such as public transport. As such, transport bodies are now able to order face coverings they may require for contingency purposes for passengers and now transport workers until the 30th of September at zero cost. Attached are documents which have been updated in line with the extended offer:

  • Request form – for interested transport bodies to fill out stating how many FCs they want and giving delivery details
  • Q&A – answers questions stakeholders may have
  • Letter – this will be attached to the delivery of face coverings when it is sent out, gives background and includes conditions of use etc

Completed request forms should be sent to dftppequeries@unipart.com.
