Extension for DEFRA Animal Welfare Regulations Survey Published Date: 02/11/2022

DEFRA has extended the survey deadline for its survey to inform the review of the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (England) Regulations 2018 (LAIA regulations).
The LAIA regulations came into force in 2018. We are currently undertaking a post-implementation review to assess the effectiveness of the regulations. We will be gathering evidence from various sources and the views of stakeholders to help us assess whether the regulations have met their objectives, identify opportunities for reducing burdens on business and propose refinements if required.
