Research project launched to assess value of outdoor events industry
The Power of Events, supported by EIF and the Purple Guide, has commissioned a new study to measure the socioeconomic impact of the UK’s outdoor events industry. The research, last conducted in 2018, will provide updated insights into the sector’s contribution to local and national economies.
Organisers say the findings will be vital for government, local authorities, and industry stakeholders seeking to understand the scale and value of outdoor events. The study aims to establish a robust evidence base for the next three to five years, demonstrating the industry’s credibility and importance.
Suppliers and event organisers are being invited to participate by submitting data through dedicated online portals:
- Suppliers: EIF Value of Outdoor Events Study – Supply Chain
- Event organisers: EIF Value of Outdoor Events Study
The submission window remains open until just before Christmas. Data will be collated in January, with the final report scheduled for release in spring.
For further information or assistance, participants can contact research leader Claire Drakeley at claire@thepowerofevents.org.
