Hospitality businesses urged to apply for £10 million grant scheme before October deadline
Hospitality businesses, community organisations and local partners are being reminded that applications remain open for the government’s £10 million Hospitality Grant Scheme, with the deadline set for 13 October.
Launched by the government on 2 September, the three-year funding programme is designed to support projects that help new hospitality ventures get off the ground, bring vacant premises back into use and create training opportunities that equip people with the skills, confidence and work ethic needed for future careers in the sector.
The initiative aims to boost independent pubs, restaurants and cafés across the country, helping businesses strengthen their role within local communities while supporting economic growth and employment opportunities.
As part of the scheme, £3 million has been specifically allocated to Pub is The Hub, an independent not-for-profit organisation that helps pubs in rural and deprived areas diversify their services. Funding will support projects such as village stores, community cafés, play areas and arts and crafts activities, enabling pubs to expand their role as valued community hubs.
Businesses and organisations interested in applying can access guidance and registration through the government grant portal. Applications will be accepted until 13 October.
The government is encouraging councils to share details of the funding opportunity with eligible businesses, organisations and community groups in their areas to ensure potential applicants are aware of the support available before the deadline.
