The starting salary is £28,371 (Level One) rising to £30, 151 (Level Two) on the first year anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period (pro rata for part time workers).

The role will involve visits to licensed premises, gambling establishments, taxi licensing operations to ensure compliance, with non compliance resulting in enforcement action being taken.  

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • A working awareness, knowledge and understanding of local authority legislation, its application and processes
  • Ability to deal with compliance and enforcement, using tact, diplomacy and flexibility to meet the needs of the service
  • Demonstrate the ability to use IT systems including the use of databases and microsoft packages
  • Able to plan and manage own workload to meet performance targets
