This event will take place online via Zoom.
The trainer is Julia Bradburn.
There are an increasing number of people in the UK indulging in all four areas of skin piercing activity. Tattoo’s, cosmetic piercing, electrolysis and acupuncture. In addition new fashion trends have seen a whole set of new procedures such as micro blading and micro pigmentation.

All four areas of skin piercing pose a potential risk of infection and across the UK, there has been a reported* steady rise in infection associated with tattooing and skin piercing and in addition there has been a reported* rise in allergic reactions.

Skin Piercing legislation differs across the UK as does the registration system.

To keep up to speed with the new trends, caselaw and methodology, the Institute of Licensing has updated this course to consolidate best practice and include new advice and explain the current trends found in many salons and parlours across England and Wales. All four areas are covered in this extensive one day course.

Julia Bradburn

Julia qualified as a Fellow for the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 1999 and has worked in Local Government Licensing since 2004.

Julia specialises in a wide range of licensing from caravan sites to animal welfare and has been delivering training with the IoL since 2005.

Julia Bradburn was a great communicator and an excellent trainer. She had obvious in depth knowledge of animal welfare as she was readily able to answer any questions asked. Julia encouraged delegates to participate and I would highly recommend the Animal Welfare course by Julia to others
